Big ship so we tendered in, and honestly watching Portimao slide past from the little boat was quite pretty in itself. About 20 minutes with the queue, no drama. The old streets were quiet, we had them mostly to ourselves.
The steps down to the beach at Praia da Rocha were a bit much for Ray, so we stayed up on the clifftop walk instead. Honestly the view from the top was the best part anyway. Lovely and flat up there.
Tried to get to the Benagil cave and hadnt booked, turned up and the boats were full and the sea was choppy anyway. Ended up back at Praia da Rocha which was fine but book ahead if the cave is your thing.
