Tender or Docked?

Docked at Pier 27 on the Embarcadero, no tender. Alcatraz Landing (Pier 33) is right next door, and Fisherman's Wharf is about a 10-minute walk.

How to Get Into Town

You dock in the middle of it: Alcatraz Landing is next door, Fisherman's Wharf about 10 minutes on foot. Cable cars are $9 a ride; the Golden Gate Bridge needs a bus or rideshare.

Main Attractions

Fisherman's Wharf, Pier 39, and a cable car ride are the walk-off classics. Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge are the bigger, plan-ahead sights.

How Much Time You Need

A full call covers the waterfront plus one big sight. The walkable core alone is an easy half day.

Keep in Mind

Alcatraz sells out weeks ahead, and the city has real hills and rough patches. Plan the big sights and mind your surroundings.

Safety & Comfort

The tourist waterfront is safe and easy, but San Francisco rewards standard city awareness a few blocks inland.
