How to Get Into Town
Kennedy Space Center: ~30-40 min by car, no bus. Pre-book a round-trip shuttle or grab a rideshare; there is no public transit from the port.
Main Attractions
Kennedy Space Center is the headline, hands down. Space Shuttle Atlantis, the Apollo/Saturn V Center, and the included bus tour fill a full day on their own.
How Much Time You Need
Give Kennedy Space Center a full 5-6 hours. With the drive each way, that fills a standard port day comfortably.
Keep in Mind
No public transit from the pier. Your whole day hinges on arranging a car, so sort that before you sail.

Booked a round trip car through a local outfit and the driver just waited for us in the KSC lot. Way less stressful than trying to get an Uber back. Worth the extra few bucks.
I spent the whole morning refreshing the Uber app worried we wouldn't get a ride back to the ship. We did, eventually, but there was a 25 min wait at the park. Wish I had just prebooked something.
Kids loved the rocket garden but we totally misjudged the bus tour timing and missed the Saturn V building. Do the bus first, learn from us.
