Tender or Docked?

Always docked, at one of two very different terminals. Carnival uses the Long Beach Dome; almost everyone else uses the San Pedro World Cruise Center, 6 miles apart.

How to Get Into Town

Rideshare is the realistic option: ~25 min and $30-55 to downtown or Hollywood off-peak. Public transit exists but can take two hours with transfers.

Main Attractions

Hollywood, Santa Monica, downtown, or Disneyland: pick one, not several. Traffic and distance make trying to combine them a wasted day.

How Much Time You Need

A full day (or a pre/post night) to see anything iconic. A turnaround morning only really covers the local waterfront.

Keep in Mind

Traffic is the whole game here. Distances look short on a map, but LA congestion can double or triple any drive, so budget generously.

Safety & Comfort

Safe and very easy to navigate for English speakers. Standard big-city street awareness downtown and in parts of Hollywood is all you need.
