The medieval wall, St. Mary's Cathedral, and the church ruins are the headline sights, and most are free. All are within the walls on foot.

3-4 hours covers the walled town well. It is compact and made for wandering.
Keep in Mind
The old town is hilly and cobbled. Comfortable shoes matter more than anything else here.

We happened to be there during Medieval Week and it was heaving, lovely atmosphere but so crowded we could barely move in the main lanes. If your date lines up with that, go early or expect a squeeze.
I'll be honest, it's hillier and more cobbled than I expected. We took the shuttle rather than the coastal walk, which was the right call, and then just paced ourselves. Sat in the cathedral, had a coffee, admired the wall from the bottom rather than climbing it.
Walked the coastal path from the pier, about 25 minutes, pretty much level and pretty. Did a loop of the town wall, the museum for 190 kronor, and were back aboard easily. Compact and completely doable on your own, no tour needed.
One of the nicest walled towns in the Baltic and you don't need to book a thing. After some of the ports where the good stuff is miles inland, having it all right inside the walls was a joy.
