We arranged a hire car to be dropped at the pier the night before, which was the only way to make it work. Drove out to Studlagil, canyon by 11, back with about an hour to spare. Standing over that canyon with nobody else around was the moment of the whole trip, but the road is long and there is zero backup if you cut it close.
My wife uses a stick and she managed the whole town comfortably, it is flat and short. We skipped the waterfall walk which is uphill and gravelly. Lovely quiet morning by the harbor instead.
Came expecting to do the geothermal baths but there are no taxis and we hadnt sorted a car. Ended up stuck in town the whole day. Nice enough but felt like we missed the point without wheels.
