Tender or Docked?

Docked at the Cruise Terminal on Wilhelminakade. You step off onto the Wilhelminapier, with the metro five minutes away and the Erasmus Bridge into town in sight.

How to Get Into Town

Metro from Wilhelminaplein (tap contactless), or a 15-20 min walk over the Erasmus Bridge. The Markthal and Cube Houses are about 25-30 min on foot.

Main Attractions

The Markthal, Cube Houses and Erasmus Bridge define the city. For windmills, take the WaterShuttle boat out to Kinderdijk.

How Much Time You Need

3-4 hours covers central Rotterdam. Add half a day if you want to ride the WaterShuttle boat out to the Kinderdijk windmills.

Keep in Mind

The Kinderdijk WaterShuttle is seasonal and a separate ticket. The direct boat runs from late March to early October (Fri-Sun early season, then daily), so outside that window you need a slower bus-and-walk route.

Safety & Comfort

Very safe and simple for independent visitors. English is near-universal and the metro is clean and easy; normal city awareness is enough.

Tips from Cruisers

"We just walked off and over that big white bridge into town in about fifteen minutes. Markthal for lunch, wandered the cube houses…" — by Greet V.
