just walked around town, looked at the murals, had a fish and chips by the harbour. small but sweet. back on board in a couple hours, no fuss.
Assumed we'd grab a taxi to the beach on the day. There were basically none free. Ended up stuck in town which is fine but not why we picked this stop. Sort your transport before you arrive.
We stayed in town as neither of us wanted a bumpy minibus. Flat and easy to get around, and the war centre was more interesting than we expected. Nice enough half day without going far.
We ended up chatting to a local artist by one of the big murals for ages, hearing about the raid and the fishing history. Never made it out of town and didn't mind at all. That's the kind of morning it turned into.
