Lovely easy port. Walked straight off into that old white wooden quarter, Posebyen, and just pottered about. After some of the tender ports on this cruise it was such a relief to step off and already be there.
We did the zoo for the kids and took the public bus out, which was a fraction of what the ship wanted. It's a big place and we used the whole day. Just know it's not cheap to get in, Norway prices, but the little ones were in heaven.
Bit of a nothing day if I'm honest. Pretty enough town but we saw it in about ninety minutes and the zoo felt like too much money and time for two adults. Ended up having an expensive coffee by the wharf and heading back early.
Flat, clean, easy underfoot, which matters to us these days. We strolled the center, sat by the fortress, watched the boats. No stress, no hills, no rushing. Exactly the kind of gentle port day we like.
walked out to odderoya island, the old paths and views over the water were the nicest part and totally free. barely saw another cruise passenger out there
