The North Cape Hall itself is very accessible, lifts down to the exhibits and the viewpoint, which mattered for us. Walking out to the globe in the wind was the hard part but you can see plenty from inside. Dress warm.
We paid for the bus and the entry and got to the top and it was solid fog. Couldn't see the sea at all, just the globe monument looming out of the grey. The hall exhibits were nice but I'd have been gutted if this was a bucket list thing. Roll of the dice up there.
Took the public bus, about 890 kroner return, 45 minutes each way. Long stop at the top which was plenty. Just watch the return departure time like a hawk because there aren't many of them. Back in town with time for a coffee.
Split a taxi with another couple, 1600 for the car return, worked out cheaper than the bus each and we set our own pace. Clear day thankfully, the view over the Barents Sea was worth every krone. Bring a proper coat, it was freezing at the edge.
didnt fancy the whole north cape production so just pottered round honningsvag. tiny colourful town, nice harbour, quiet. sometimes thats enough. the cape can wait for another life.
