Tender or Docked?

Always tendered. Ships anchor out in Dublin Bay and ferry you to St Michael's Pier in the harbour, so factor in a boat ride each way.

How to Get Into Town

DART to Dublin: ~20 min, about €2.50 each way with a Leap card. Trains run every 10-15 minutes from a station five minutes' walk from the pier.

Main Attractions

Dublin's core is a 20-minute train away: Trinity College, the Book of Kells, and the Guinness Storehouse. Or stay local for the harbour piers and Sandycove.

How Much Time You Need

Half a day is enough for central Dublin. With a normal 9-10 hour call you can see the city and still stroll the piers.

Keep in Mind

The tender is the whole ballgame here. Everyone rides a boat ashore and back, so the return queue, not the DART, is your real time risk.

Safety & Comfort

One of the easier ports in Europe for a solo cruiser. English-speaking, safe, and simple to navigate.
