just did caudan and the market, never left port louis. bought way too much vanilla and rum. hot as anything though, i was melting by lunch.
We are French speakers so had no trouble chatting to people, everyone was lovely. Did the botanical garden which was shady and calm, ideal for us. Skipped the beach, too much faff in the heat.
Took the kids to Trou aux Biches by taxi. Calm shallow water, perfect for the little ones, and way cheaper than the ships beach thing. We split a driver with another couple from the ship which halved it.
Thought about renting a car and then remembered it's driving on the left and I'd be jetlagged. Glad I didn't. Just hired a taxi for the day and let someone who knows the roads deal with it.
