We wanted Bequia but the ferry times just didn’t line up with our ship, and the guy we asked kept changing the story. Ended up staying in town, which was fine but not what we planned.
We just hired a driver at the pier and did the gardens and the fort at our own pace. He waited for us at each stop. The view from Fort Charlotte was worth the bumpy ride up.
Been to a lot of Caribbean ports and this one you really do need a driver. Nothing much is walkable except the town. Ours was great, chatty, honest. Just sort out the money first.
wandered the market, bought some spices, sat in the square. didnt do a tour. kingstown is a real working town and i liked that
Four of us split a taxi, US$30 each for a three hour loop with the falls and Wallilabou. Agreed the price before we got in. Back at the ship with an hour to spare.
