Tender or Docked?

Usually docked right in the heart of downtown Ketchikan. You walk off the ship and you are on Berth Street, steps from the main shops and Creek Street.

How to Get Into Town

Ships dock on the downtown waterfront; Creek Street is a 5-10 minute walk. No taxi or shuttle required for the town itself.

Main Attractions

Misty Fjords by floatplane is the standout: sheer granite walls, waterfalls, and fjords that are impossible to see any other way. Creek Street and the totem collections make a satisfying half-day on their own.

How Much Time You Need

3-4 hours covers the town well. Add a floatplane tour and you need 7+ hours.

Keep in Mind

Misty Fjords floatplane seats sell out. Book directly with an independent operator weeks or months before your sailing.

Safety & Comfort

Ketchikan is very safe. A small waterfront town with strong visitor infrastructure and minimal crime.
