Grabbed a car to Pelabuhan Klang for a few ringgit, train to KL Sentral in about 75 min, MYR 3.60. Did KLCC and the towers, trained back and left the city by 3pm. Worked perfectly.
Batu Caves with the kids was a highlight, the golden statue and all those steps. Watch the monkeys, one grabbed our snacks. The train there from KL Sentral was easy and cheap.
skipped KL entirely and did klang town for the bak kut teh. best pork soup of the whole trip honestly. port is not near anything so manage expectations
It is a LONG way to the city and I was nervous the whole time about getting back. We made it but I wouldn’t relax until we were on the train home. Give yourself loads of time.
