Book Stingray City before you sail; let the tender queue be your only variable.
Tender or Docked?
Grand Cayman is always tendered. Ships anchor in George Town Harbour, and the tender ride to shore takes 10-15 min, but waiting in the tender queue on a busy day can add 30-60 min each way.
How to Get Into Town
George Town is a 3-5 min walk from the tender terminals. Seven Mile Beach is 10 min by taxi ($27-35) or 14 min by public bus ($3).
Main Attractions
Stingray City is the signature experience; Seven Mile Beach is the free alternative. Both are excellent and easily done independently.
How Much Time You Need
Stingray City takes about 2.5 hrs total; Seven Mile Beach fills as much of the day as you want.
Keep in Mind
Stingray City tour slots sell out on busy port days. With three or four ships in port, the most popular morning times are gone within hours or days of opening.
