Do not swim in the open sea. Saltwater crocodiles and marine stingers make ocean swimming dangerous; use the netted lagoon instead.

The Waterfront lagoon right by the ship was a lifesaver with the kids. Safe to swim, cafes right there, and we barely had to walk. They didn’t want to leave.
Did Litchfield on a tour, long day in the bus but Florence Falls was worth every minute. You cannot do that one on your own from a cruise, take the organised trip. The city itself you can walk easily.
We came in wet season and it was brutally hot and humid, and the Mindil market wasn’t on. Spent most of the day hiding in air con. Check what season you’re arriving in.
