Tender or Docked?

Docked at Gazenica, about 4 km from the old town. You walk straight off the gangway; a shuttle or taxi covers the last stretch into Zadar.

How to Get Into Town

Shuttle to the old town: ~15 min, about €5-7 each way. The walk is 35-45 min with almost no shade, so most cruisers ride in.

Main Attractions

Zadar's Sea Organ and Sun Salutation are the easy in-town highlights, while Plitvice Lakes is the famous but far day trip that eats the whole port day.

How Much Time You Need

A full day if you want Plitvice; 3-4 hours is plenty for Zadar itself.

Keep in Mind

Plitvice uses timed-entry tickets that sell out in summer. If you plan to go, book an official online slot before your cruise, not at the gate.

Safety & Comfort

Zadar is very safe and easy for independent visitors. Normal city awareness is all that is needed.

Tips from Cruisers

"We really wanted Plitvice but once I looked at the bus times and the timed ticket I just gave up and we did Zadar instead. Walked…" — by Denise R.
