The cobbles in the old town are pretty but hard going on my wife's hip. We took a taxi to the ruins to save the uphill walk and it was worth the few euros. Heat was intense by noon.
Our ship was at the far industrial berth not the nice one by the old town. The shuttle situation was a mess and we lost an hour. Ortigia itself was lovely but check where you actually dock.
Sat by the Arethusa spring watching the ducks with a granita for ages. Wasnt planning to, just ended up there and didnt want to move. Ortigia does that to you.
