Taxi to Motril bus station 12 euros, bus to Granada 8, then the little C bus up to the Alhambra. Long day but the palace is unforgettable. Left Granada on the 4pm bus, back with an hour to spare.
We booked the Alhambra tickets two weeks out and took the bus. It all worked but I mapped every connection and we took the earlier bus back. I would not wing this one.
We took the ship’s transfer to Granada and explored on our own. Cost more but the coach guaranteed we made it back. On a far port like this the peace of mind was worth it.
Turned up thinking we’d sort tickets in Granada. Sold out. We saw the gardens and the old town, which were lovely, but missing the Nasrid Palaces stung. Book ahead, seriously.
didnt fancy the long trek so we just did motril and a beach. sugar museum was a surprise, quite interesting. relaxed easy day near the ship
