Turned up at the mosque without a ticket and the next tour wasn't for two hours, so we lost a chunk of the day. Book a slot ahead. Also had a driver try to charge us triple until we walked to another cab.
Off the ship at 9, taxi meter to the mosque was about 45 dirham, 10 o'clock tour, then medina by 11:30 and back onboard by 1:30. Smooth once you know it's all taxis. Bring cash, nobody took cards.
We hired a taxi for the whole day and had him wait, which was the right call for us. No fussing over fares each time and he took us to Rick's Cafe for lunch. The mosque plaza is huge but flat, which my hips appreciated.
